Big Head Todd and the Monsters- www.bigheadtodd.com
Big Head Todd and the Monster's rock/blues sounds and reputation for intense and memorable live performances have gathered devoted fans across the country. Sharing the stage and studio with music stalwarts such as John Lee Hooker, BB King, Don Henly, Neil Young, Robert Plant, Sheryl Crow, Dave Mathews, and Hootie and the Blowfish. Beginning in 1993 when the album Sister Sweetly is the eighth most played record at rock radio for the year, including the four top 10 singles “Bittersweet,” “Broken Hearted Savior,” “Circle” and “It’s Alright”, spending a record 85 weeks on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart, and going on to sell over 1.2 million records. In addition to annual tours in the states of over 60 dates a year, BHTM has multiple visits to England, Scotland, Amsterdam, and Germany including dates in 2004 with George Thorogood and The Oosterpoort Rhythm and Blues Festival in Holland. This prompting the London Times to state "American Rock doesn't get anymore classy than this." The band's latest release of "All the Love You Need" in 2008, produced by Grammy winner David Bianco (Tom Petty, Mick Jagger, AC/DC), includes the song "Blue Sky" written exclusively by request from NASA as a theme song for the Space Shuttle program. Lead man Todd Park Mohr believes the album to be the best work to date from the band's 20 years of play. The band is very devoted to its fans, in fact, they’ve logged three fan excursions, two cruises to the Caribbean and a land-lovers jaunt to Hawaii. “We play a bunch of shows, and we never play the same song twice, which we all love,” Mohr says. “...we have a blast and there’s really no better way to get to know your fans.”
